Service restored to 1,800 customers in south-central Omaha

Service has been restored to 1,879 customers in south-central Omaha, where contractors working in the area earlier struck a  cable.

Thursday, July 1, 1:30 p.m.

A circuit has locked out in south-central Omaha Thursday afternoon. The outage is impacting 1,879 customers. The outage spans from L Street to Valley View Boulevard and from 84th to 93rd streets. The cause is not known at this time.

Two troubleshooters are patrolling the area looking for the cause.
