Service has been restored to about half of the circuit affected by this morning’s outage.

Crews on the scene hope to have power restored to remaining customers by about 11 a.m., barring any unforeseen problems.

8 a.m.

Troubleshooters report that the outage was caused by a problem with a tree in a power line.

They hope to have the tree cleared and power restored by about 9 a.m., barring any unforeseen problems.

July 6, 6:15 a.m.

OPPD troubleshooters are responding to a circuit outage affecting 1,506 customers in southwest Omaha.

Those customers, located between Discovery Drive and Giles Road from 126th Street to 138th Street, lost power about 5:45 a.m.
